We work with a select number of retainer clients. If you're serious about long-term inbound growth, here's what investment looks like.
Two retainer tiers, designed to match the pace of growth your business is ready for. Learn more about our SEO Growth Systems.
Both Growth and Scale tiers include the same core deliverables. The difference is volume of landing pages produced per month, not what's on the menu.
SEO is a compounding asset, not a paid-ads tap. Here's what a typical 12-month BCS engagement looks like.
Months 1–3
Technical audit completed, keyword and page architecture mapped, first 60–150 landing pages shipped. Most clients see first inbound enquiries from lower-competition queries by the end of month three.
Months 4–6
Pages from month one have aged, accumulated authority, and started ranking on more competitive commercial terms. Lead volume becomes consistent month-on-month.
Months 7–12
Organic search becomes the dominant inbound channel. Cost per qualified lead drops well below paid alternatives, and the asset (your indexed page network) keeps producing whether or not you keep investing.
Worked example
Take a UK private clinic on the Growth tier at £4,000 per month. Average lifetime patient value: £1,200. Inbound conversion rate from organic enquiry to booked consultation: roughly 30%.
By month six, the clinic is typically generating 40 to 80 organic enquiries per month from the new landing page network - call it 60 mid-range. At a 30% close rate that's 18 new patients monthly, worth £21,600 in lifetime value. The retainer pays for itself roughly six times over inside a single month, and the page network keeps producing month after month.
The maths varies sector by sector - a B2B services firm with a £50,000 average client value needs only a handful of conversions a year - but the structure is the same: the cost of the retainer is small relative to the value of the inbound channel it builds.
We get asked this. The honest answer is that SEO done properly is resource-intensive - and anything below a certain threshold produces results too slowly to be worth your investment.
To move the needle meaningfully, you need a critical mass of high-quality landing pages published consistently, month after month. Below 20 pages per month, the compounding effect that makes this model work simply doesn't kick in fast enough to justify the cost.
We could offer a £500/month package. It would underdeliver, you would be disappointed, and we would have wasted each other's time. That is not how we operate.
BCS works with businesses that are ready to invest in long-term inbound growth - and we deliver results that make that investment straightforward to justify. If you'd like to discuss your goals, contact us.
Meaningful results require consistent output at scale - not a handful of pages.
We only take on work we know we can deliver results on. Low budgets make that impossible.
At £3,000/month, one or two new clients typically covers the retainer. The maths has to work for you.
